Discussing accountability and control of intelligence services in Germany

Thorsten Wetzling was invited as an expert to speak on questions of accountability and control of actors in the German security architecture in a workshop of the German Political Science Association (DVPW). The thematic group "Critical Security Studies" of the DVPW organized and hosted the digital workshop on "Accountability and Control of Intelligence Services in Germany" to address the current security challenges as well as the long-term developments in the light of the "Zeitenwende". The workshop aims to facilitate the exchange of research findings and research gaps in this field and addresses all scholars who deal with questions of accountability and control of actors in the German security architecture, especially intelligence services, from a theoretical or empirical perspective.
