At the European Cyber Agora, Christina Rupp discussed the evolution of the EU’s cybersecurity policy ecosystem, related challenges, and how to move forward during the next mandate of the European Commission with Michael Aendenhof, Permanent Representation of Belgium to the EU; Christiane Kirketerp de Viron, European Commission; Marta Przywała, SAP; and Ingrida Taurina, ENISA as part of the Agora’s panel on “Navigating the EU Cybersecurity Policy Landscape”, moderated by Florian Pennings, Microsoft.
In a Cyber Community Spotlight Session on the same day, Christina also previewed her work on a compendium that maps relevant EU legislation, policies, and actors in the field of EU cybersecurity policy, providing a substantial overview as to what cyber or IT security-related objectives, deliverables, and/or obligations these legislations and policies entail and explaining the roles and activities of various actors within the EU cybersecurity policy ecosystem. The compendium will be published at the end of the quarter.
The 2024 edition of the European Cyber Agora took place from April 23-24, 2024, in Brussels, Belgium, and was organized by Microsoft, the German Marshall Fund of the United States, and EU Cyber Direct.
