Berlin think tank warns against uncontrolled data shopping by secret services

International intelligence agencies are increasingly buying information from commercial data traders. This is suggested by a new analysis by the Berlin-based think tank Stiftung Neue Verantwortung.
According to the study, this "information procurement with a credit card" gives the services new access to "highly sensitive information" such as political beliefs, health and location data, and even complete movement profiles.
