Frederic Dutke supports the topic area Cybersecurity Policy and Resilience as a student assistant.
He is studying for a Master's degree in "Computing in the Humanities" at the Otto-Friedrich-University Bamberg and completed his Bachelor's degree in Political Science and History at the Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg. His focus is on topics related to foreign and security policy and cyber security. In this intersection, he works in particular on the German cyber security architecture and also supports the cyber community. As part of his bachelor thesis, he dealt with the impact of the expansion of critical space infrastructure and commercialization trends in the space sector on the degree of militarization of state space budgets.
In addition to his studies, he was involved for several years in the past, most recently as deputy federal chairman, in the Federal Association for Security Policy at Universities, an association of over 30 academic groups with a focus on security policy. He is also a co-founder and former board member of Model NATO Germany, a multi-day simulation of NATO operations by student delegations, which takes place annually at the Federal Academy for Security Policy in Berlin. He has also gained practical experience in the IT infrastructure of the University of Halle, a digitalization start-up and the German Armed Forces.
