Sensitive information, some of which intelligence services are not allowed to collect without extensive approval procedures, can now apparently simply be bought. This practice has hardly been regulated to date, according to a paper by the Stiftung Neue Verantwortung (SNV), which will be published today (Tuesday) and was previously made available to Tagesspiegel Background.
The authors write of strong encroachments on fundamental rights and call for security mechanisms and minimum requirements for data purchases and a systematization of encroachments on fundamental rights.
